About
Paloma Figueroa is a multidisciplinary designer working at the intersection of object, furniture, and jewellery design. Her practice questions the roles objects play within these fields as she bridges them through techniques, aesthetics, and functions. From reimagining how jewellery can be worn and kept, to playfully asking what it means to sit on a bean-bag lamp, she explores the interactions that emerge when people encounter and use objects, often infusing her work with a performative dimension.
Her inspirations are diverse. She draws on her cultural duality, bringing her Mexican heritage into a contemporary context, while also coming from personal place of childhood memories, moments of intimacy, and the lingering presence of nostalgia.
Paloma Figueroa experiments across scales and materials, weaving together textures, colours, and visual languages that evoke a whimsical feeling. Driven by curiosity and intuition, her creative process moves between spontaneous, hands-on experimentation and meticulous, detail-oriented craftsmanship. This balance brings both depth and playfulness to her projects.
