Under Pressure
blown glassThis atypical and rather large candle holder was made in collaboration with the glassblowers of the National glass museum in Leerdam. This material “sketch” is an experimentation with the specificities of glass as a material, highlighting the duality between softness and hardness. The organic shape that flows into a specific point of tension allows for the candle to carefully sit. This project is about finding balance in surprising ways while trusting the making process of an
unexpected material.
